"Why start a blog?" I ask myself as I write this. The answer is that I really don't know. Will anyone ever see this, much less actually read it? Probably not. In actually I don't expect one visitor.

So this is beginning more as a personal knitting diary I guess. I'm bored these days; unemployed and still physically unable to go out with friends and have fun. This will give me something to do. Besides, my knitting is getting good. I'm even starting to impress myself at my ability to knit any pattern I choose. Not bad for being self taught, and only really getting serious about a year ago. I feel that I'm almost ready to start making my own patterns.

Well, here I go, putting myself out there on the internet. Let's see where it goes...

Anyway, I dropped off some knitting for the state fair today. A Circle Vest made with Noro Silk Garden 249, and the Knit Picks Little Bubbles kit. I actually had to enter the cardigan and hat from the Little Bubbles set as two separate entries; the cardigan as a child's garment and the hat as a child's accessory. I really don't like the hat. It's just a square and looks stupid on. When I get it back after the fair I'm going to rip it out on top and finish it off like a standard hat.
